CULTIVATION
And before we know it, our sadness consumes us. We waste our lives away finding a means of overcoming a frown; never succeeding because too often do we take refuge in clouded pasts. Do not forget that life goes on, where the opportunity to be joyful lies within arm’s reach so long as you allow yourself to be set free. There comes a time when we may have to admit hard truths, realize that time is continually fleeting, and see that perhaps some things have already left us. Mind you that happiness is not witnessed in passing time, but rather by our willingness to welcome it.
So grasp life. No more excuses to delay. Liberate yourself from the bittersweet comfort of lost memories and the fear of familiar attempts at establishing cheerful permanence. There are places we all need to be,—better, even higher places if you will—but dwelling within the security of our rooms only pushes that destiny further away. It’s time: to love again without worry, to live without insecurity, and to satisfy the once delighted cravings and inspired curiosity to be completely human—within the skin and flesh and all.
